I am so excited to share this list of Fall crochet pattern ideas with you! Being home a lot more this Fall is actually a really fun opportunity to decorate our living spaces, spruce up our closets with handmade garments, and make this gorgeous season even more of an exciting time!
Whether you like Fall or not, the start of a new season always brings the feeling of possibility and excitement! For us crocheters, it’s time to start thinking about the cute sweaters and blankets we will make for the holidays. It’s also always fun to put a handmade touch to our homes with something cute that no one else will have.
To help you get started, I put together this list of what I plan to make this season. Hopefully, it will give you some inspiration as to what you can crochet this Fall.

1. Pumpkin Coasters by Crafty Guild
When I saw these, I thought they were so cute and absolutely perfect for my Etsy shop! Turns out that one of the skeins my grandma gave me is called, ‘Pumpkin’. This is what I used for the main orange part of the coasters. I also pulled from my stash for the green and brown parts making this pattern a perfect stash buster. You can also make these pumpkins in many different ‘Fall’ colors to match the rest of your decor!
2. Ghost Doily by Marsha Glassner
I made one of these doilies last year and it was so much fun! It was the first time that I had really worked with crochet thread. It was an adjustment to use the teeny tiny thread. However, once I got going, I loved making this cute and unique doily! I plan to make a few more this year to give to family members. I may post several to my Etsy shop as well. These would be a fun addition to place your Jack-O-Lanterns on or even a Fall-scented candle.
3. Crystal Waves Gingham Blanket by Crochet Dreamz
I have to include this blanket because I work on it just about every week. I am making an enormous version of this blanket in greens and a beautiful cream color for my boyfriend Jesse. This project was started it way back in December of 2019! When we got our puppy, Charlie, I had to stop working on it for a while because he was teething. He chewed on everything and yarn especially was fair game. I kept this hidden away until a couple of months ago. Charlie is past his teething stage, so I was able to start working on it again.
I love this design because the ‘waves’ make it 3 dimensional. It is extremely warm and heavy but it also has the holes, which I’m hoping will help to encourage airflow. If you’re looking for a really warm blanket to make, I definitely suggest this one. But be aware that you will have your fair share of weaving in ends to get this beautiful gingham effect. Either way, you can choose to make this crochet pattern in warm Autumn colors to give your house the perfect Fall feel!
4. Frida’s Flowers Blanket by Jane Crowfoot
I am so excited to start on this absolutely stunning pattern! I have a ton of ‘I Love this Cotton’ from Hobby Lobby, which happens to be my favorite cotton yarn. It is SO soft and comes in the most beautiful colors.
The plan is to make this blanket for my mom for Christmas and use up a lot of that yarn. I’m starting to feel a bit crazy for trying to get all of this done before Christmas, but I guess it’s time to buckle down and get crocheting 🙂

5. Bobble Crochet Sweater by ModaVessa
I found Moda Vessa about a year ago and became OBSESSED. Like checking her Instagram every day, obsessed. What I love about her is that she creates clothing designs that are very modern and cute. They look like something that you would pay a lot of money for at a store.
She has such a great fashion sense and I could see myself wearing or using every single one of her designs. She has also recently started sewing and has inspired me to rethink the idea that sewing is too hard for me to learn. Now I am excited to add sewing to my list of crafts! But first I have to finish making this cute sweater!
6. Yet Another Pumpkin by The Cookie Snob
I am absolutely OBSESSED with these pumpkins that use cinnamon sticks as the stem. (I’m sure they smell as good as they look!) The neutral colors that she has chosen are so so pretty. But, I am going a different direction with the pumpkins that I will be making. I chose to use a variegated yarn, which my grandma gave me. The yarn is Red Heart Super Saver yarn in the color Painted Desert. I felt it was a really nice color for Fall. I will be adding these pumpkins to my Etsy shop. Once I am done with them I have plenty more skeins to make more pumpkins in different colors!
7. Sandy Bobble Velvet Throw Pillow by Crochet For You Blog
This is another project for my mom who requested that I make a cover for the throw pillows for her couch. I may end up adjusting this pattern, but I love the use of mixed textures on this pillow. Perhaps I will document my progress in another post and share it with you on social media as well! Either way, I think these pillows would be a great addition to any home.
8. Aidan’s Radiating Diamond Blanket by The Crochet Fix
And just to top it all off, a THIRD blanket. At this point, I am starting to think that my to-make list is getting a little bit out of hand. But, your girl has crochet ambitions! In all reality, I started this blanket several months ago and it has since ended up in the ever-growing WIP pile. I am making it in a beautiful mango-orange color so I think that Fall is the perfect time to pick it up and finally finish it! If you are looking for a blanket pattern that works up quickly and has a unique look, this is a great option.
